Writers' Corner
We receive more than 500 short story submissions each and every month for Cemetery
Dance magazine. That's an amazing amount of fiction to consider, and keeping
open lines of communication with writers isn't always an easy task, especially
with our hectic schedule. Hopefully, The Writers' Corner will help us keep interested
writers up-to-date on our current response time, any specific needs that might
arise for the magazine, and any breaking news related to writers and artists.
We've been trying to keep our response time down, and we're currently
averaging 2 to 4 months, although it can take longer if your story gets held
for a second or third read. If you submitted to something to Cemetery Dance
magazine more than six months ago and haven't received a response, your submission
-- or our reply -- was probably lost in the postal system. It's also possible
you did not include a SASE. Feel free to re-submit your story if you'd still
like us to consider it for the magazine.
Author and artist submission guidelines for every open Cemetery
Dance project and publication are available on our guidelines
page. Please note: We cannot accept email queries or submissions.
