Before he can do that, however, Nikki falls for Pete Starling, an older guy with a serious cruel streak and a pack of buddies who are even meaner.

At first, Kevin is just heartbroken. But then he begins to be afraid. It seems that Starling and his crew are not at all what they appear to be. In order to protect Nikki, Kevin is going to have to gather his own friends around him and journey into another place, a land of war and eternal darkness where there are no heroes... only monsters.
