He will be on <em>The View<\/em> tomorrow, Friday the 13th, and in Atlanta in the evening for his signing appearance, which I will be attending.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cemeterydance.com\/extras\/2009\/11\/06\/first-look-photos-under-the-dome-limited-edition-from-simon-schuster\/\" target=\"_blank\">photos of the Limited Edition<\/a> and the last words of <em>Under the Dome<\/em> pictured <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.co.uk\/news\/archive\/2009-11\/07\/stephen-king's-under-the-dome.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">in London<\/a>. Here&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/books\/2009\/nov\/10\/stephen-king-under-dome-hide\" target=\"_blank\">an interview with the winner of the UK contest<\/a> for hiding snippets from the book. He won a limited edition printer&#8217;s proof. Also, an ABC reporter <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.abcnews.com\/politicalpunch\/2009\/11\/im-in-stephen-kings-new-book-huh.html\" target=\"_blank\">discovers he&#8217;s in <em>Under the Dome<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.collegian.psu.edu\/archive\/2009\/11\/11\/king_interview_airs_at_theatre.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Here&#8217;s a report on King&#8217;s appearance in NYC<\/a>. The video should be available at King&#8217;s website in the coming days. King did a 10 minute Q&amp;A before his signing in Dundalk, MD and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9xl6ACmJtH0&amp;feature=player_embedded\">YouTube has the video<\/a> and the <em>Baltimore Sun<\/em> has this article: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baltimoresun.com\/news\/maryland\/bal-md.ae.king12nov12,0,5980006.story\" target=\"_blank\">Attention, shoppers: Stephen King in Aisle 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lilja&#8217;s <em>Under the Dome <\/em>week features the following fascinating interviews:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scribner publisher <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liljas-library.com\/showinterview.php?id=66\" target=\"_blank\">Susan Moldow<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.liljas-library.com\/showinterview.php?id=67\">The creative team behind the US cover artwork<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Limited edition illustrator <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liljas-library.com\/showinterview.php?id=68\">Matthew Diffee<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Among the news items arising from King&#8217;s public appearances this week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Under the Dome<\/em> may be an HBO miniseries. The rights to the novel were acquired by Steven Spielberg&#8217;s production company<\/li>\n<li>King has written a screenplay for <em>Cell<\/em>, so he thinks that&#8217;s going to happen. He said that he had gotten so many complaints about the ending of the book that he changed everything.<\/li>\n<li>He still plans to work on a sequel to <em>Black House<\/em>, though nothing is definite at this point<\/li>\n<li>He wonders what became of Danny Torrance<\/li>\n<li>He has an idea for a new Dark Tower book, the working title of which will be THE WIND THROUGH THE KEYHOLE. He has not yet started this book and anticipates that it will be a minimum of eight months before he is able to begin writing it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>King talks about his 10 longest novels in this combination print interview\/podcast at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/specials\/packages\/article\/0,28804,1934180_1934196,00.html\" target=\"_blank\">Time.com<\/a>. Note that the print section is shorter than what he actually says on the individual audio files.<\/p>\n<p>The folks at McSweeney&#8217;s are producing a celebration of newsprint, a reimagined newspaper for their next issue. The 380-page San Francisco Panorama will be out in early December, and features an essay by King about the World Series. Check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcsweeneys.net\/SFPanoramaPR.html\" target=\"_blank\">tease here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>JJ Abrams reinforces an earlier statement that he and Damon Lindelof are not working on a Dark Tower movie adaptation.&#8221;The &#8216;Dark Tower&#8217; thing is tricky,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It&#8217;s such an important piece of writing.
