Mick Garris is directing from a script by Matt Venne. A&amp;E network will air this four-hour minseries over two nights, perhaps later on this year. The cast includes Pierce Brosnan (Mike Noonan),\u00a0Annabeth Gish (Jo Noonan),\u00a0Melissa George (Mattie Devore) and\u00a0Anika Noni Rose (Sara Tidwell). Kelly Rowland&#8217;s name has also been mentioned in association with the film, but not for a specific role.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Demme (<em>Silence of the Lambs<\/em>) has optioned <em>11\/22\/63<\/em> and will write, produce and direct the film. Variety says that King will executive produce. There&#8217;s no distributor yet, but Demme hopes to start filming toward the end of 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. is in the process of finalizing the deals for <em>Harry Potter<\/em> director David Yates and Steve Kloves, who scripted the final three Potter films, to re-team for a multi-movie version of <em>The Stand<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Alexandre\u00a0Aja may to direct the remake of\u00a0<em>Pet Sematary<\/em> for Paramount.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Upcoming short fiction appearances:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Little God of Agony&#8221; in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cemeterydance.com\/page\/CDP\/PROD\/jones02\" target=\"_blank\">A Book of Horrors<\/a>, edited by Stephen Jones<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;The Dune&#8221; in\u00a0<em>Granta<\/em> magazine&#8217;s Fall\/Winter horror-themed issue. He\u00a0takes viewers on a journey through many aspects of the horror genre, including vampires, zombies, demons and ghosts. He also examines the fundamental reasons behind moviegoers\u2019 incessant craving for being frightened. Along the way, he discusses the movies that have had a real impact on his writing, including <em>Freaks<\/em> (1932), <em>Cat People<\/em> (1942), <em>Invasion of the Body Snatchers<\/em> (1956), <em>Night of the Living Dead<\/em> (1968), <em>The Texas Chain Saw Massacre<\/em> (1974), <em>Jaws<\/em> (1975), <em>Halloween<\/em> (1978) and <em>The Changeling<\/em> (1980).<\/li>\n<li>King will be touring to support 11\/22\/63.
