It provides a clue, of sorts, as to the devilish nature of the story which follows.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three can keep a secret if two are dead.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are three principle characters in Sarah Pinborough&#8217;s new psychological thriller: Louise, the attractive but somewhat chubby divorced mother of six-year-old Adam; Louise&#8217;s boss, David, a psychiatrist by profession; and David&#8217;s beautiful yet troubled wife, Adele.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The author cleverly tells her story through the first person point of view alternating between each of the primary characters, each one exposing their own motivations while keeping their secrets from the others. At first it might seem like you&#8217;ve picked up a romantic comedy, but it&#8217;s not long before the reader can see there&#8217;s more going on here than meets the eye.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Night terrors and lucid dreaming soon play a part in a tale so dark and twisted it&#8217;s like trying to piece together a giant jigsaw puzzle without a picture to guide you. Just when you think you might know what&#8217;s going on, trust me, you don&#8217;t.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I know 2017 is just getting started, but it&#8217;s going to be tough to find a better read in the months ahead. Pick up <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Behind Her Eyes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and move it to the top of your TBR list.
