LAST CHANCE TO PREORDER!!
The Century’s Best Horror Fiction
Two Huge Volumes — Shipping Next Week!
Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, Robert Bloch, Charles Beaumont, Jack Ketchum, Gary Brandner, Dennis Etchison, Michael Bishop, Ramsey Campbell, David Schow, Joe R. Lansdale, Glen Hirshberg, Richard Matheson, Shirley Jackson, and nearly seven dozen others!

Hi Folks!

Century's BestToday we’re pleased to announce that The Century’s Best Horror Fiction edited by John Pelan is on the way from our printer and we’ll begin shipping copies next week.

PLEASE NOTE: We’ve determined that the retail price will have to increase by $20 for any second printings. If you haven’t already ordered your set and you want to lock in a 1st Edition, 1st Printing at the current price, now is the time because the remaining copies from the original print run are dwindling fast due to a surge of orders this month!

Cemetery Dance Publications commissioned this spectacular two-volume anthology project under the editorship of noted author and historian of the horror genre, John Pelan.

John selected one story published during each year of the 20th Century (1901-2000) as the most notable story of that year — all 100 stories were then collected in this amazing two volume set to be published as The Century’s Best Horror Fiction.

The ground rules were simple: Only one selection per author. Only one selection per year. Two huge volumes, one hundred authors, one hundred classic stories, more than 700,000 words of fiction — history in the making!

Booklist had this to say about about the spectacular set:

“…more powerful, more defining of what has gone on between the years 1901 and 2000 in horror fiction… horror readers will have to admit that this treasure trove will bring the realization of a dream to them as well, for there is sufficient material within the multitudinous but highly entertaining and dramatic pages of this grand publishing project to occupy many hours, weeks, even months of their time… The term “old-fashioned” flies out the window when even new readers to horror fiction taste the perfection achieved by these masters… Reading this entire second volume will acquaint even those new to horror fiction with the authors who have shaped the genre during the past 50 years.”

Place your order today so you don’t miss out!

Today’s Featured eBook: Titanic 2012 by Bill Walker (Revised & Updated Edition!)

Today’s Featured eBook:
Titanic 2012 by Bill Walker (Revised & Updated Edition!)
Hi Folks!

Before we get to today’s brand new featured eBook, we wanted to say thanks again for the huge outpouring of support for our “All You Can Read” eBook membership program for 2012, both from readers and authors. Several major media outlets are planning coverage of the program, which only helps spread the word about what we’re doing here at Cemetery Dance to even more new readers. If you’re still thinking about signing up for the “All You Can Read” eBook membership program, your personalized coupon code will be generated within two to three business days of your order. Thanks for your patience!

In the meantime, we’re very pleased to announce the newest addition to our eBook line, Bill Walker’s revised and updated edition of his classic novel, Titanic 2012:

About the Book:
Best-selling mystery novelist Trevor Hughes has no idea that attending his twentieth reunion at Harvard will forever change his life.

Titanic 2012Persuaded to go by his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Dr. Julia Magnusson, he meets up with three old friends: Solly Rubens, a self-made Wall Street millionaire; Ken Faust, a successful software entrepreneur; and Harlan Astor, New York real estate tycoon and the glue that holds their circle together.

That afternoon, over drinks at the Harvard Club, Harlan drops his bombshell: He is doing what James Cameron did not — he is rebuilding the Titanic, and sailing the ship on the hundredth anniversary to honor those who died, including his great-grandfather, John Jacob Astor IV. Only Trevor is intrigued by Harlan’s audacity. Touched by his friend’s interest and concern, Harlan invites him on the maiden voyage to serve as the official chronicler.

On April 10, 2012, Trevor journeys to Southampton and, along with the hundreds of handpicked passengers, boards the Titanic. He is awed by the immensity of the ship and the feelings that well up in him. His friend has made his grand dream a reality.

During the journey, armed with his iPod Touch and a miniature wireless camera hidden in his glasses, Trevor interviews both passengers and crew, eager to learn the reasons why they chose to sail on the reborn ship.

Nearly every one of them claims to have been profoundly affected by Cameron’s film, wanting to recapture the magic for themselves. And some of them are dying — their last wish to be on the maiden voyage of the new Titanic.

Trevor is touched that his friend has allowed these people to come aboard, and is unprepared when he meets Madeleine Regehr, a beautiful, free-spirited woman who resists his entreaties to be interviewed, intriguing Trevor all the more. Slowly, and inexorably, Maddy draws him out of his shell, allowing him to love deeply and completely, for the very first time in his life.

But Trevor soon discovers a darker purpose for the voyage, a purpose that threatens to destroy him and the woman he loves. In a race against time that pits friend against friend, Trevor must stop the unstoppable or risk a horrific replay of history…

2012 Production News From Cemetery Dance Publications

Hi Folks!

The Grab Bag we announced in the last note has already sold out, but don’t worry, we’re working on some other promotions for the next few weeks! Until then, we figured this was a good time to give you some updates on what we’re working on for 2012.

teaseAlthough we can’t announce any of our surprise projects just yet, we think collectors will be blown away by some of the authors we’ll be adding to the Cemetery Dance family this year. There are New York Times bestsellers who aren’t our usual suspects and you probably won’t see these projects coming, but we think you’ll be as excited as we are about adding these incredible new collectible editions to your collection.

One of these exciting new books will be announced in the next week or two, and we’re completely in love with the cover artwork that just arrived. We expect a fast sellout of the book due to the huge promotional blitz the New York publisher is using to support their edition. This will easily be one of the most talked about new books in its field, and a lot of people are saying they haven’t seen this much excitement around a book since The Passage by Justin Cronin. (Our editions of that title sold out in a mere four hours.) Stay turned for the announcement later this month!

———————

ITI would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the professional and courteous service you provided. I received the book this morning, and I am extremely impressed with the overall layout and binding, which exemplifies the care and thought incumbent to reissuing such a classic, and in many ways transcends the ethos of its original intent. This is certainly one which will be held with pride for posterity. Thank you once again.

The Woman by Jack Ketchum & Lucky McKee: Shipping Soon!

The WomanToday we’re pleased to announce our special hardcover edition of the controversial novel The Woman by Jack Ketchum and Lucky McKee is almost finished at the printer and will be shipping this month!

Jack Ketchum collectibles always sell very well, but we expect there to be extra interest in this project because the movie of the same name is based on it. You probably heard about all of the fuss at Sundance last year. People went nuts for the movie in more ways than one.

Previously, The Woman was only available as an ultra-expensive deluxe edition with a tiny print run, and our edition includes a BONUS NOVELLA that wasn’t included in that edition!

About the Book:

The Woman is the powerful story of the last survivor of a feral tribe of cannibals who have terrorized the east coast from Maine into Canada for years now. Badly wounded in a battle with police, she takes refuge in a cave overlooking the sea.

Christopher Cleek is a slick, amoral — and unstable — country lawyer who, out hunting one day, sees her bathing in a stream. Fascinated, he follows her to her cave.

Cleek has many dark secrets and to these he’ll add another. He will capture her, lock in his fruit cellar, and tame her, civilize her. To this end he’ll enlist his long-suffering wife Belle, his teenage son and daughter Brian and Peg, and even his little girl Darlin’, to aid him.

So the question becomes, who is more savage? The hunter or the game?

About the Bonus Novella:

This new novella Jack Ketchum and Lucky McKee takes place a year after the novel ends, but to say anything else could spoil some of the surprises!

A Book of Horrors: Almost Ready For The Printer!

A Book of HorrorsOur special edition of A Book of Horrors edited by Stephen Jones, which we’re co-publishing with PS Publishing in the UK, is almost ready for the printer. The last couple of authors just need to sign the signature sheets and then it’ll be done!

If you haven’t placed your order already, don’t wait because this brand new anthology features ORIGINAL STORIES by Ramsey Campbell, Peter Crowther, Dennis Etchison, Elizabeth Hand, Brian Hodge, Caitlín R. Kiernan, Stephen King, John Ajvide Lindqvist, Richard Christian Matheson, Reggie Oliver, Robert Shearman, Angela Slatter, Michael Marshall Smith, and Lisa Tuttle.

Leading off the anthology is the World’s First publication of a brand new Stephen King story called “The Little Green God of Agony” and we’re pleased to report this story is good old fashioned gothic horror at its best!

Great New Review for Smoke & Mirrors edited by Richard Chizmar

Smoke & MirrorsBlu Gilliand has written a great new review for Smoke and Mirrors over at White Cat Publications. Here’s just a small sample:

“Chizmar has put together an exciting collection in Smoke and Mirrors, and I hope that readers hesitant to dive into the script format will give it a chance. With writers this good, the format quickly melts away and, just as with any good prose story, you forget that you’re looking at words on a page and get caught up in the worlds they are creating.” Read the rest on their website.

Smoke and Mirrors is all ready for the printer, with the exception of the signature sheets, which are just waiting on one last author to have time in his schedule to sign. We’ll let you know when that process is completed and we’ll rush the book right to the printer.

Thanks, as always, for your continuing support!
